U.S.: Oregon

Siskiyou

Bear Creek is the home of one of the oldest vineyards in Oregon, the former Siskiyou Vineyards Winery. The name Siskiyou Vineyards comes from the vineyard location in the foothills of the Siskiyou Mountains. The existing Vineyard and Winery date back to beginning days of the Oregon Wine-Industry. The Vineyard was established in 1971 and planted with mainly Pinot Noir as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Gewurztraminer. The age of the wines make the vineyard one of the older plantings in Oregon. These wines are again available under the Siskiyou Vineyard label.

Pinot Noir

Light ruby; attractive, light, complex, tomato and strawberry varietal aromas with hints of vanilla, and tar; pleasant, ripe strawberry flavor; dry, with youthful acidity, light to medium-body; soft tannins and a long, faintly stemmy finish.
